TRATTERHOF - The Mountain Sky Hotel

As with many hotels in Tirol/ Sud-Tirol, Tratterhof has an old hotel and new hotel in one building. We opted for the old room, because the cost of the new rooms were much much higher. The old room was fine, except the bathroom needs updating. The thing I did not like is that guests were segregated in the dining area depending on which part of the hotel they booked, which felt a bit strange, a bit of a first class/ economy class feel. But I quickly discovered that we were all being served the same mediocre food. Considering the extra cost that comes with 1/2 board, the food was very disappointing. The plated dished that were served to the tables were simply not good. Not inventive, not high quality and small portions. The salad bar sort of made up for the lack of quality in the entrees, but not entirely. The breakfast on the whole was good, but you can only indulge so much before you go out for a day of skiing. The adults only part of the spa was very very nice, could use maybe one more Sauna and operating hours should start earlier. The family part of the spa was really lacking in amenities, the kids were bored quickly with this. The kids playroom is well done. The staff was nice enough, but did not go out of there way to make you feel welcome like many other hotels ive stayed at in Austria and Sud Tirol. Overall disappointing experience for 700 Euro a night.

Beautiful hotel in the Dolomites, great for a skiing holiday during winter, with the slopes a 5 minutes free shuttle ride away. We had a family room which was huge with two bathrooms and a balcony with a beautiful view. The hotel has a number of spas and swimming pools, so soaking up some heat and relaxation after a day out is perfect. Service is excellent with breakfast and dinner provided with board. Would love to return.

Hotel Tratterhof is definitely the most beautiful one from this area at a heavenly height of 1,500 metres above sea level! Here, the Dolomites are not just beautiful to look at, they are within reach and ready to explore. We visited a lot of hotels, but we enjoyed the time spent here the most! So we came back here twice and we will definitely come back again soon! I think they have all you need and even more! The view here is like a dream. The mornings, the sunset, everything is better from here! The hotel is in the middle of nature so we enjoyed a lot the quiet and the sound of nature! The rooms are simply amazing. Very beautiful, spacious and clean with a gorgeous view! You’ll notice how much room there is to unwind here. The light-flooded rooms and suites are visually and physically expanded by the incredible endless view over the valley and into the world of the Dolomites. We slept soooo good here, the bed and pillows are so confortable. We tried different rooms in our stays here and all of them are perfect! We also enjoyed out time at the terrace that is very spacious as well! The food here is so tasty and good looking! We absolutely liked everything we eat! If I have to recommend you something, I would not know what to choose, because everything was the best! The staff here is so good and kind, they helped us with everything we needed! The pools and infinity pools are perfect for every season! With a breathtaking view, they are all you need for a relaxing day ... or days :)! As a guest, you also get to enjoy free access to one of the best wellness areas in Italy of 4,000m². Monte Silva Mountain Spa has various saunas, infinity pools, separate family wellness area, and beauty farm. The exclusive sauna area is reserved for adults only and offers Alpine wellness of the highest level. The spa is one of the best I have ever tried! It has everything you need both for families and adults only! If you are looking for a relaxing place, you should definitely come here! Tratterhof Mountain Sky Hotel’s unique location is a blessing for all nature lovers. Around the hotel you can find a lot of great spots and beautiful places to visit, or for hiking. They are also doing organized hiked with experienced guides and you can find a lot of informations about all the places you can go around. You should ask at the reception and they will help you with everything for this! They offer a variety of guided experiences for every taste. The place is also family friendly! They have a separate family wellness area, separate pool for family and kids. Tratterhof Mountain Sky Hotel has for sure EVERYTHING you need for a perfect holiday! You have to go at least once to see! Go here for a holiday full of wellness with panoramic views, tasty food, relaxing time, real mountain adventures, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Excellent service, with every staff member knowing which room and our preferences for snacks and drinks. Very friendly service. Generally the hygiene and rules were well listed and plenty of hand gel available. Hard to control all the hotel guests who would enter the family spa area knowing that another family is already inside, but overall no major issues. The car parking is super, and now I know I can charge there, I might do this next time. The children loved the warm indoor and outdoor pools. We did not use the other spa areas and that would be a reason to consider alternative hotels in future, as those areas are reserved for adults and have nude area. The kids play room is fun for a while and we enjoyed visiting it throughout the day if it was wet outside. The food was lovely and 4 course half-board dinner was a tasty and unique experience. Generally there was always a fish and plenty of vegetarian options. The staff, Erik (Tariq) and Hafeez in particular took great care and attention to our comfort and dietary needs. Mrs Grueber was very attentitve and we always felt like we were being hosted in a warm and friendly home, with all other guests always saying their hi, hellos to us, and being patient with the children.
